JULIO GRANADOS

Julio Granados (Lima, Peru, 1969) is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, designer, and muralist currently living and working in New York City. His work spans illustration, graphic design, and large-scale public murals, with projects developed in cities including New York

and Los Angeles.

 

Granados has received recognition in international competitions. In 1993, while studying Graphic Design at the Toulouse Lautrec Institute of Art and Design in Lima, he was selected among the 23 best illustrators worldwide in the International Art Institute of Hong Kong competition for universities and art schools.

 

Throughout his career, he has illustrated books for leading publishing houses, including Santillana, Alfaguara, Seix Barral, and Revuelta Editores, among others.

His work includes the illustrated editions of Tradiciones Peruanas by Ricardo Palma and Cuentos de César Vallejo, both published by Revuelta Editores. These titles became best-selling books at the Lima International Book Fair (FIL)

in 2022 and 2023.

 

More recently, he illustrated Los últimos días de la prensa by acclaimed journalist and author Jaime Bayly, published by Revuelta Editores.

 

Today, Julio Granados continues to develop illustration, publishing, and fine art projects from New York, combining traditional and digital techniques while creating work for an international audience.
